In this trip we’ve spent endless hours for rehearsals, composing, mixing and sound design.
In this trip we’ve fought with ourselves and we’ve cried, we’ve screamed, we’ve felt desperate.
In this trip we lost some friends and we’ve found some new ones.
In this trip we’ve learned how to respect the silence of the sound and the absence of echo.
We don’t know if the “Fake Good Morning“ is the end of this trip or just the beginning of a new adventure.
We just know that “Fake Good Morning“ is a great album.

Broken tempo are participating in Cayetano's new album, entitled "Once Sometime Remixed". BT had the privilege to remix the title track of the album, which has been released on January 14th, 2014.

This Greek band has inveigled trip-hop into a new dimension. With serious attitude, they utilize off-time signatures, prominent 80s reverb, and have an ample, end of world chamber-music progression. The peaks of the song remind me of To Venus and Back by Tori Amos. Broken Tempo add Math-rock, Funk, and a post-rock vibe to an already solid foundation of Gothic rock. You, the title track that was released on the 12th of April, is brimming with tension and fierce, frantic guitar textures. The band uses their vessel to “verbalize our whispers”. It comes from a place where the softest of aches can break glass

You, ένα αρκετά ατμοσφαιρικό κομμάτι,με απίθανη μελωδία που σε κάνει να ‘χάνεσαι‘. Δυνατό με δόσεις ήρεμης στιγμής και ξανά πάλι. Το ρεφρέν ακουμπά στις βάσεις που πρέπει και αφήνει το σημάδι του. Η χρήση βιολιού είναι από τα πιο ωραία σημεία και μπράβο για την επιλογή τους, ήχος που σου μένει από την πρώτη στιγμή που θα το ακούσεις και ‘δένει‘ απόλυτα με τα υπόλοιπα όργανα

Οι Broken Tempo λοιπόν ξεκινάνε το πρόγραμμά τους με νέα πλέον τραγουδίστρια, την Angel Wolf - Black, γνωστή και ως frontwoman στο πολύ καλό metal σχήμα (και δυστυχώς διελυμένο πλέον) Bare Infinity, η οποία και αντικατέστησε πριν λίγες μέρες τη Κατερίνα Παπαγεωργίου. 25 λεπτά είχε η μπάντα στη διάθεσή της και κατάφερε να ταξιδέψει το κοινό της Θεσσαλονίκης με την όμορφη μουσική που μας προέφεραν απλόχερα οι μουσικοί της μπάντας. Ξεχωριστές νότες το βιολί του Ηλία και φυσικά η αέρινη κίνηση της Angel. Οι Broken Tempo παρουσίασαν κομμάτια από το ένα και μοναδικό E.P. που έχουν κυκλοφορήσει

Από το λίγο όμως που τους άκουσα, μου φάνηκαν μια δεμένη και "επαγγελματική" μπάντα, με πολύ όμορφο ήχο και ιδιαίτερες ερμηνείες από την τραγουδίστρια του σχήματος. Κι επειδή άργησα, και έτσι μάλλον μόνο η δική μου γνώμη δεν μετράει, μια ματιά στα ευχαριστημένα πρόσωπα που βρίσκονταν γύρω μου, μου φανέρωσε ότι δεν έπεσα και πολύ έξω...

I can dig it. This EP is a BANGER! I love all the songs on it. My personal favorite is “Wings of my Childhood.” It made me think of a close friend of mine. I don’t know exactly why, maybe because it has a a dark innocence to it. The nostalgic feeling associated with that song sends chills through my body. I love the emotion of it all. They also did a nice job on the cover to Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus.” In all, its different, its DOPE, and deserves a REAL LISTEN!

Είμαι βέβαιος πως το συγκεκριμένο συγκρότημα θα μας απασχολήσει αρκετά στο μέλλον και αναμένω με ανυπομονησία μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη δουλειά. Χαίρομαι ιδιαίτερα όταν νέα συγκροτήματα παρουσιάζουν τόσο ελπιδοφόρα δείγματα δουλειάς, ιδιαίτερα μάλιστα όταν τα σχήματα αυτά προέρχονται από την χώρα μας. Μια τέτοια περίπτωση είναι οι Θεσσαλονικείς Broken Tempo οι οποίοι μόλις κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους ομώνυμο EP. Το ύφος των κομματιών φλερτάρει αρκετά με το trip hop, το funk, τη rock ενώ έχει και αρκετούς πειραματισμούς.

To ντεμπούτο EP των Broken Tempo περιέχει τρία δικά τους τραγούδια και μία διασκευή στο “Personal Jesus” των Depeche Mode. Ως αναφορά το αποτέλεσμα, πραγματικά πολύ καλό. Όμορφες ενορχηστρώσεις σε pop,rock αλλά και funk ρυθμούς, πλαισιωμένες από τις εξαιρετικές ερμηνείες της Κατερίνας Παπαγεωργίου αλλά και το ξεχωριστό βιολί του Ηλία Τσιπτσέ. Ως αναφορά δε τη διασκευή στο “Personal Jesus”, δίνουν ένα εντελώς δικό τους στίγμα καταφέρνοντας (αν κρίνουμε από εμάς) να κερδίσουν τον ακροατή. Ιδανικό ξεκίνημα για ένα γκρουπ που φρόντισε από μόνο του να ανεβάσει τον πήχη συνέχεια, που ελπίζουμε να είναι ακόμα καλύτερη.

Broken Tempo released their first EP which includes three original songs and a “different” cover of ‘Personal Jesus’ of Depeche Mode. Our music is the product of a long-year effort to combine technology and modern sound with classic “rock” instruments and instrumentation.

Οφείλω να ομολογήσω πως ήταν μια πολύ ευχάριστη έκπληξη το ντεμπούτο των BROKEN TEMPO. Οι καλές συνθέσεις, τα γυναικεία φωνητικά και το βιολί αφήνουν γενικότερα πολύ θετικές εντυπώσεις.
